Inline code
A command, path or value named inside a sentence. Use it when a reader needs to type or recognise the exact text; use CodeBlock for a command they copy and IdToken for an identifier.
bunx --bun shadcn@4.17.0 add @waimakers/inline-code- npm dependencies
- None
From the registry
A command, path or value named inside a sentence, in the mono face on a quiet muted surface. It wraps at spaces and breaks inside a word only when that word alone is wider than its line. Prose renders Markdown code spans with it.
Examples
In a sentence
A command and a file name read inline with body text.
Run waimakers admin audit list to see who changed what. The Worker reads its bindings from wrangler.jsonc.
Narrow column
In a narrow column a command wraps at its spaces. Only a single word wider than the line, like a digest, breaks inside itself.
Run bunx --bun shadcn@4.17.0 add @waimakers/inline-code --overwrite from the app root.
