Date picker
A 44px trigger that opens the kit Calendar in a Popover. Choosing a day closes it and returns focus to the trigger.

The shadcn date-picker recipe assembled from the kit's own Popover and Calendar: an Input-family 44px trigger showing the formatted date or a muted placeholder, opening the branded month grid; selecting a day closes it. The focus ring is --text; aria-invalid draws a 2px --danger edge, the border plus a solid 1px ring, never an opacity fade, measured at 4.38:1 or better on every ground.
Examples
Default
Controlled value with a visible label. Give the trigger the same name as the label.
Limited dates
Disable days that cannot be chosen, such as weekends and the past.
Weekdays from 20 October.
Locale and week start
Format the date for the reader and start the week on Monday.
States
Empty with a placeholder, disabled and invalid. Tab to any trigger to see the focus ring.
Choose when the agent should first run.
